California loving

My roommates and I took made a Presidents' Day weekend roadtrip to southern California to visit family and soak up some sun. The weather was perfect and we spent time at the beach(es) and on Saturday evening went into LA.

I love the vegetation in California—the succulents especially are so diverse and pretty!

I have a special affinity for southern California, as my mom grew up there and we've gone back to visit many times. I was especially grateful for the chance to spend a little time with my family.

The change of scenery was refreshing as well as beautiful and it was so great to experience again the little wonderful details of southern California. Yes indeed.
