I lovelovelove these portraits of my sisters, which I shamelessly stole from their respective Facebooks (oh, Facebook).
Portraiture is not really my forte, so I especially love these for their artistry and the stories they tell.
Being in Paris alone made for some of the most opportune instances of people-watching. I loved making mental notes on Parisian fashion (practically every Parisian woman has a trench coat like this, for one thing) and trying to find Italians to talk to (which I was fairly successful with!). I think these few photos show the quiet diversity of the people of Paris.
This is quite possibly my favorite photograph that I took in Paris. I loved the Musée d'Orangerie and this woman standing in front of one of the Monet paintings with her Monet bag was so fabulous.

This man had set up shop outside the Musée d'Orsay and quickly attracted a crowd of amazed spectators. He had a very sharp pair of scissors and just held up a piece of black paper and cut it out in the shape of this girl's profile. On the spot.
Even the Parisian children had the best sense of style and hearing them speak French was darling.
