In May, I went on a
roadtrip with my Twitter friends
Cece,
Kylie, and co. It was a blast and I had not laughed so hard in ages. We talked all night about Brené Brown, Hamilton, Vance Joy (the essentials), and got up to watch the sunrise (
we were up for it all) and
read poetry atop Dixie Rock in St. George. After a bagel breakfast, we set out for Zion National Park.
A hilarious sight outside our tent in Cece's aunt and uncle's backyard.

This was my second trip to Zion NP, the first being my plunge into outdoorsiness. I loved seeing other areas of the park. I didn't realize how green the park was; the weeping rocks above were surrounded by lush copses of trees, and maidenhair ferns growing from the rocks. It was so beautiful.
Cece and I have discussed another such trip in the near future... we'll see what comes of it!
Oh my hilarious. (hilarious: this photo and the terrible script of this movie)
It's slightly ironic that I've lived with these girls for several months now, but we don't always see a whole lot of each other due to our busy schedules. We sit on each others' beds and talk and laugh late at night, but tonight we made it a point to go out and do something fun together.
We went to
Pizzeria 712, which has been several times highly recommended to me, and which I highly recommend based on several times going there. I love their pizza and their philosophy (click on 'why' on their website) about food. And mostly I love sharing good food with good people, so this was a winning combination.
i watched
(500) days of summer last night with my friends
melissa and ashley. good thing all 3 of us have seen it before, because we talked through nearly all of it. we paused the conversation momentarily when our favorite parts came up, though. ("just because some cute girl likes the same bizarro crap you do, doesn't make her your soulmate!")
i love that you want it to end a certain way, yet when it doesn't (as you knew it wouldn't all along) the ending is still satisfying, and possibly even better than the cliché expected ending would have been. and it's because this movie is so real.
