i am completely obsessed with these textile designs:

[from a
slideshow on the dwell magazine website - all of the patterns are from the V&A museum collection. and i initially found this slideshow because the name William Morris caught my eye in the slideshow description.]

work in progress

the last few weeks have been really crazy... finals and packing to come home, and since i've been home i have mostly been job hunting for a summer job. which is not all that fun. I'm really hoping to work here: Appel Farm Arts and Music Center. It's located very close-by and they have such great summer camps for kids. I want to work as a camp counselor, but I'd be happy with any other job that is available there, with the present state of the economy.

So in the meantime as I continue with my job hunting, I have also been working on a bunch of projects:
-I'm making my cousin rachel a little doll-sized picnic blanket for her to play with
-my first quilt! made with batik fabrics
-and I want to work on some scrapbook pages!

to be posted soon: pictures of my last couple of bookbinding projects - my clamshell box and final project!

i love...

1. the relief of finishing a test for which the studying and preparation had taken over your LIFE

2. good drinking fountain water.
seriously though, its REALLY refreshing.

3. this book. it's one of my favorites.

4. batik fabric. i am deciding now that i'm going to learn how to make my own over the summer. I'm WAY excited!

5. this picture of my little sister:
it's my fave.
