"Lauren, are you making Halloween cupcakes again?"
this post is dedicated to emily, who loves cupcakes and made BEAUTIFUL ones [see above photograph], and to lauren, who loves decorating cupcakes and eating emily's before they are ready.
emily made these for her graduation party today; they were delightful!
one time, my boss at the hbll made these cupcakes for st. patrick's day, and they were so pretty! i never really had a reason to post this picture, but this cupcake-related post is reason enough now, though it is months later. ha.
by the way, the title of this post originates from this family joke:
i was home for Christmas 2 years ago, and lauren was making Christmassy cupcakes, and had found an ancient bag of candy corn in the cupboard. clearly this was opportune for a snowman cupcake. as she was putting candy corn on the cupcakes, my dad walked into the kitchen and said (cue title) "Lauren, are you making Halloween cupcakes again?" this may really only be funny to those of us who were there, but i can see any of my cousins who are reading this laughing, as my dad's jokes are so subtle that most of the time you miss them.

ReplyDeleteSounds like my Uncle Joe...and I too have a thing for cupcakes. Especially with sprinkles or fruit...I don't know about candy corn, though it was cute Lauren. :)
